IntegrationsTroubleshoot Oracle Integration

For information about how to configure an Oracle integration, see Oracle Integration Using Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS.

For information about managing access to integrations, see Controlling Access in Spectrum.

For information about Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS, see Getting Started with Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS.

Important! Whenever you add a new device, data service, integration, or facility, you must ensure that the service is activated on all Spectrum Application Servers on which it should be available to run and started on at least one. In an environment with only one Spectrum Application Server, these types of services are automatically activated and started when they are created. For more information, see High Availability with Distributed Services.

Important! In an environment with distributed services, to permit a user to perform administrative tasks related to services you must assign Read and Write permissions for Servers. These permissions must be assigned for each server in Access Control Access Control. Examples of administrative tasks related to services include creating a data service, a device connection, an integration, or a facility. Core services can only be configured by the SuperAdmin or SystemAdmin user.

Tip: You can check the version of Loftware Spectrum and obtain information about its components, the Spectrum Application Server, and your Spectrum license (including the integrations allowed) by clicking Help Help > About.

Important! Before Oracle integrations can be fully used in Loftware Enterprise SP (including Loftware Cloud Enterprise SP, Spectrum, and Spectrum Cloud), Loftware Cloud, or Loftware NiceLabel LMS, Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS must be installed in the Oracle EBS system database by an Oracle database administrator. For more information, see Getting Started with Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS.

Symptom Resolution

Problems are encountered with an Oracle integration.

If print jobs are not printing, you must determine whether the issue is due to the integration, the process and business rule, the device and device driver, or the configuration of Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS.

After Spectrum is upgraded, Oracle integrations cannot be edited.

If you have upgraded Spectrum from a version prior to Spectrum 5.0, then any existing Oracle integrations will continue to process print requests. However, most of their properties cannot be edited and print requests from any new Oracle integrations cannot be processed until Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS has been installed and configured on the Oracle EBS database server.

For information about Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS, see Getting Started with Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS.

An Oracle integration is not receiving any print requests.

Verify that Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS has been installed on an Oracle database and configured to support this Oracle integration.

The following details configured in Spectrum must match what is configured in Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS:

  • Name of the Oracle integration
  • Name of the Spectrum user that sends print jobs and other requests from Oracle to the Oracle integration. (This is not the Run As user for the integration.)

This Spectrum user requires certain permissions in Spectrum. For information, see Spectrum User for Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS.
