Assign Role to a User
Use this procedure to assign a user to an existing role in Smartflow. As an alternative, you can achieve the same result if you Assign User to a Role.
- In Admin
, from the Access Admin Function primary drop-down list, select User & Company. From the secondary drop-down list, select Add/Edit User, and then click Go. - In the Add/Edit User page, next to the user, click Roles.
- In the Associated Roles dialog box, click Edit.
- In the Not assigned list, select the role that you want the user to have, and click Add to move to the Active User of Role list.
- Click Confirm to save the changes to the user, and then close the Associated Roles dialog box.
Remove a Role from a User
- In Admin
, from the Access Admin Function primary drop-down list, select User & Company. From the secondary drop-down list, select Add/Edit User, and then click Go. - In the Add/Edit User page, next to the user, click Roles.
- In the Associated Roles dialog box, click Edit.
- In the Active User of Role and/or Role Managers list, select the role that you want to remove from the user, and then click Remove.
Note: Roles assigned to external users through directory and mapping synchronization cannot be manually removed.
- Click Confirm to save the changes to the user, and then close the Associated Roles dialog box.
