Assign Role to a User

Use this procedure to assign a user to an existing role in Smartflow. As an alternative, you can achieve the same result if you Assign User to a Role.

  1. In Admin  , from the Access Admin Function primary drop-down list, select User & Company. From the secondary drop-down list, select Add/Edit User, and then click Go.
  2. In the Add/Edit User page, next to the user, click Roles.
  3. In the Associated Roles dialog box, click Edit.
  4. In the Not assigned list, select the role that you want the user to have, and click Add to move to the Active User of Role list.
  5. Click Confirm to save the changes to the user, and then close the Associated Roles dialog box.

Remove a Role from a User

  1. In Admin  , from the Access Admin Function primary drop-down list, select User & Company. From the secondary drop-down list, select Add/Edit User, and then click Go.
  2. In the Add/Edit User page, next to the user, click Roles.
  3. In the Associated Roles dialog box, click Edit.
  4. In the Active User of Role and/or Role Managers list, select the role that you want to remove from the user, and then click Remove.

    Note: Roles assigned to external users through directory and mapping synchronization cannot be manually removed.

  5. Click Confirm to save the changes to the user, and then close the Associated Roles dialog box.
