Edit Master Datasheet Settings

In Master Datasheet settings you can rename the sheet, enable or disable the master datasheet, manage phrase translations and language selection, and configure Import Key Columns.

If you want to be able to add or update content in a master datasheet using the import feature, you must configure Import Key Columns to ensure that each row is unique for the combination of Import Key Columns selected. You can select more than one Import Key Column. After configuring and saving Import Key Columns, you cannot modify or disable this setting. For more information, see Import Content to a Master Datasheet.

  1. In Admin  , from the Access Admin Function primary drop-down list select Datasheets. From the secondary drop-down, select Add/Edit Master Datasheets, and then click Go.
  2. Click Edit Settings in the row of the master datasheet you want to edit.
  3. To edit the name of the master datasheet, modify the text in the Enter Master Datasheet Name field.
  4. To enable the master datasheet for use, select the Yes check box next to Enabled.
    • To disable the master datasheet, clear the check box next to Enabled.
  5.  To enable translation for phrases, perform the following steps:
    1. Next to Enable Translation for Phrases, select the Yes check box.
    2. Click Set Languages.
    3. In the Set Languages dialog box, select the languages you want to make available for phrase translations the datasheet, and then click Confirm.
  6. To use the import feature to add or update content in the master datasheet, perform the following steps:
    1. Select the Yes check box next to Configure Import Key Columns.

      Important: After you select Import Key Columns and click Confirm, you will not be able to disable the selected columns.

    2. Click the Select Columns field and select the columns you want to configure a unique key for.
  7. Click Confirm to apply your changes.
    If you configured Import Key Columns, note that you cannot change or disable this setting, and then click Confirm again.
