StatusStart, Stop, or Pause a Device Queue

To start, stop, or pause a device queue, you must first lock and control the device queue to prevent other users from modifying the queue simultaneously. You can lock and start, stop, or pause a device queue from the Queues Summary page or the Queue Detail page. To start, stop, or pause a device queue, use the following procedure.

Note: To perform this task, a user must have Read and Queue permissions for Device Groups.

  1. In StatusStatus, click Queues . The Queues Summary page is displayed.
  2. Enter criteria by which to search for a device queue:
    1. Enter text in the Device Name field to search by a full or partial device name, or leave this field blank to search all names.
    2. Select options for the Queue Status, Lock Status, and/or Device Status fields, or leave Any selected.
  3. Click Search . A list of device queues is displayed, filtered by the criteria that you entered.
  4. Click a device name to select the row, and then click Lock.

    Note: If the device queue is locked by another user and you have administrative permissions, see Take Control of a Device Queue.

  5. Do one of the following:
    • Click Start , Stop , or Pause .
    • To view the print jobs for the selected device queue, click View Details View Details. The Queue Detail page is displayed for the device. In the Queue Actions toolbar, click Start , Stop , or Pause .
