Importing and Exporting Workflows

Use the Export/Import workflow template functionality to copy a workflow template from one Smartflow site to another.

Important! Both the source and destination Smartflow sites must be the same version.

If the IDs for roles, data fields and other system objects are different in the new system, information will need to updated before importing the files into the new system. After an export, you will download a ZIP file containing various Excel spreadsheets that contain all the task-related information for the workflow. Depending on the functionality used in the workflow, only certain files will need updating. See Import File Updates to determine which of your files will need updating.

Note: if the target system has an identical configuration and all IDs in the target import system are the same, then no edits will need to be made.
