Configure Supported File Formats and Size

An administrator can specify the types of image and video files users can upload in DaVinci for use in an approval workflow, as well as the maximum file size allowed.

Smartflow supports the following file formats:

Image: JPG, JPEG, PNG, EPS, and PDF
Note: Smartflow only supports PNG files that use RGB color space and that do not have a transparent background, and encrypted password protected PDF files can be uploaded but cannot be opened by DaVinci.
Video: MP4, MOV, FLV and AVI
Tip: To use video file types in Smartflow, you must turn on Video Module in Admin > Modules > Edit Module Settings, and then configure AWS Amazon Elastic Transcoder in Admin > Loftware Setting > DV Setting.

To configure approval file formats and size, do the following.

Go to the Admin page.
From Access Admin Function, select Loftware Setting > Other Setting, and then click Go.
For Supported Image File Formats, enter the file extensions allowed for images and videos, separating each extension by a semicolon.
Example
JPG;JPEG;PNG;EPS;PDF;MP4;MOV;FLV;AVI
Enter the maximum file size in megabytes (MB) allowed to be uploaded for:
- Maximum Image File Size
- Maximum Project File Size
- Maximum DAL File Size
For Supported formats (DAL image resize), enter the file extensions allowed to be resized by DAL, separating each extension by a semicolon.
